In the second of Alan Gilbert's final four subscription weeks as New York Philharmonic Music Director, he will lead the Orchestra in a program that highlights important artistic relationships he has cultivated during his tenure.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, continues its 2016/17 season with The Mystery of Love & Sex written by Bathsheba Doran and directed by Marti Lyons. The production runs April 5 - July 2, 2017 in The Gillian Theatre, 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) are pleased to announce programming for the second annual Tilt Kids Festival. With five world premieres and four U.S. debuts, the multidisciplinary festival presents adventurous and playful new work for families from artists spanning the globe.  The Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) has teamed up with  Kaufman Music Center for JMF's sixth consecutive year of the Accentuate the Positive program, which teaches elementary school students the art of songwriting and introduces them to The Great American Songbook. The Last Five Years, starring Kevin Quill as Jamie (who also directs) and Broadway's Sarah Killough as Cathy, opened this past weekend at the Cape Cod Theatre Company (home of the Harwich Junior Theatre). With book, music and lyrics all written by Brown (The Bridges of Madison County, Parade), The Last Five Years was the winner of the 2002 Drama Desk Award and was also recently made into the film starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. The musical chronicles the five-year relationship between Cathy, an aspiring actress and Jamie, a promising author, from meeting to breakup and from breakup to meeting in New York City.
