Full House Theatre's BIG RED BATH to Play Edinburgh Fringe, July 31-Aug 24

By:
Full House Theatre Company/Half Moon/Escalator East to Edinburgh present: BIG RED BATH. Splish! Splosh! Splash! Adventurous theatre for the very young. Rubba-Dubba-Giggle, Rubba-Dubba-Laugh, there's magic to be found in the Big Red Bath.

It's the end of a busy day, it's almost time for bed, and Ben and Bella are in the bath. Splish! Splosh! Splash! Bubbles burst and bubbles rise and a frothy feast of animals jump right in to join in the fun.

Big Red Bath is brand new adaptation of Julia Jarman's popular children's picture book. Children's theatre innovators Full House make their Fringe debut with a bubbly, barmy bath time adventure taking its audience around the world and home again.

Children from ages 2-6 will be captivated by this vibrant adaptation featuring stunning animal characters and quirky music by French alternative indie-electro-pop trio, We Were Evergreen, bringing a fresh and unique vibe to the world of theatre for little ones. 'We've always wanted to write for a very young audience. This enables us to experiment with sounds and unusual instruments to create a world of its own'. The band's first album is released on May 5.

Big Red Bath is directed by Half Moon Young Peoples Theatre's Chris Elwell.

Physical and visual theatre company Full House have been touring and creating work that appeals to all the family for 10 years. The company aim to introduce new and young audiences to a variety of theatrical styles including contemporary dance, physical theatre, puppetry, and clowning but most importantly to their trademark giant masks and larger than life puppets. They deliver projects to a wide range of audiences in theatres, schools, parks, arts centres and other community venues. All their productions use music, song and multi-character physical performances for stories that are either totally original or place a unique spin on well loved fairytales.

Big Red Bath alternates in Pleasance 2 with Full House's other production The Snow Dog for children 6+. See separate release for full info on The Snow Dog.

Big Red Bath has been selected for Escalator East To Edinburgh. Each year Escalator, East to Edinburgh helps artists and arts organisations to raise their profile and perform to new audiences as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
