Tell us a bit about Schutte The Unromantic

Schutte the Unromantic is my new storytelling stand-up comedy show coming to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer. It's a comic solo show written and performed by me. I also play in Happily Never After and Knightmare Live.

This is the story of me trying to find love despite freezing up at chocolates, serenades and thoughtful surprises.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

I love to have a run at a show so that it can change and evolve in a short space of time with different audiences. I love the Fringe and this will be my thirteenth year there.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

It's definitely the most honest show I have ever made and I hope that the 'heart' in my show will come across as something refreshing.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

It's a show for both lovers and cynics. It's also pretty confessional and sweary, so 16+!

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch in Edinburgh?

I'm starting to write a list, but there are so many female comics that I'm excited to come and see. Mostly friends from the improv world who are doing solo shows; Maria Peters, Rhiannon Vivian, Rachel Parris to name a few.

Timings and ticket information for Schutte The Unromantic are available on the edfringe website.
