EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- It's A Wretched Life

Tell us a bit about It's A Wretched Life.
It's A Wretched Life is about the way life didn't turn out. When I was young I wanted to be a fireman. Or a rockstar. Or a pilot. Instead I ended up as an unemployed comic. What went wrong?
It is also about how to survive having a family, and how overrated it is to live in the countryside.
It is a bitter, satirical and sarcastic view on life today.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
I have done a lot of gigs in UK, both open mic and as support act to more or less known comedians. I have then understood that my comedy is quite unique, and I have been advised to take it to Edinburgh to get a bigger crowd. This is my fourth visit. Still no crowd though ...
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
I haven't seen the other shows, so I can't answer that. However my style is not running around on stage giggling and delivering cheap puns. My style needs you to focus, listen and just accept that my world is different from yours. If you allow yourself to think outside the box with me, you will have fun.
What are the benefits of performing at the Free Fringe?
The good thing about the Fringe is that the artists are so different from each other. You can go the safe way and fill a week with only watching things you KNOW you'll like. Or you can choose to watch shows with comics you've never heard of. I'm one of those people in UK have never heard of. Yet. And as a comedian I get to know many colleagues, get inspired and hopefully inspire them as well.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
If you like dark, surreal and unique humour from a Scandinavian perspective, you will hopefully have a good time. The important thing is that you allow yourself to laugh and have fun.
