Tell us a bit about GOD Ltd.

GOD. Ltd is a hilarious comedy set in a lowly bureaucratic department in Heaven, where three angels; moronic, arrogant, and irritable, compete for God's Sunday Department of the week award. Sunday, as we all know, is God's day off and the day that the angels are left in charge. They go to ridiculous and desperate lengths to be innovative and creative enough to get God's attention.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

Our company STAG is celebrating their 10th Anniversary at the Fringe. The Fringe provides an amazing platform for shows like ours to thrive, and we love being immersed in the culture, comedy and talent which the city is bursting with. GOD.Ltd was selected to celebrate STAG's 10th Fringe Anniversary because of its witty humour on current affairs, its talented cast and crew, and, overall, it's ability to comically engage the audience in a thought-provoking way.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
We feel that GOD. Ltd is a brilliant addition to the Fringe roster, it's a fantastically funny, lively show that we're so eager to perform. It's a wholly unique idea, pushing into the ridiculous conventional understandings of religion and the afterlife, in a way that audiences will really respond to. It's both wildly funny and energetic, with fantastic character dynamic, as well as genuinely endearing and sweet, with touching commentaries on systems of belief and religious messages. It's a fun piece of original writing that should leave you with a 'heavenly' smile on your face.
Who would you recommend comes to see GOD Ltd?
Although we try to be as angelic as possible, we have crafted a show with lots of great darker humour and devilishly funny moments. Our comedy tip-toes on the boarders of, let's say, 'not-so heavenly', but it is guaranteed to make anyone with a wicked sense of humour laugh. Our doors are open to the heavenly, the hellish, and those who couldn't-give-a-f**k!
Are there any other performances you're hoping to catch at the festival?
Our festival favourite for years now has been Australian sketch trio Aunty Donna, whose wild, insane and surreal shows have been making us laugh hysterically for ages. Throughout our run though we try to support as many different companies as possible who have also ventured to the Fringe. Headlining acts are great but we have found some diamonds in the rough over our last few years here.

Timings and ticket information for GOD Ltd are available on the edfringe website.
