Tell us a bit about FAG/STAG.

FAG/STAG is a show from Australia about two mates who are confronting the wedding of their mutual ex-girlfriend. They each tell the story but they tell it with very different slants on the truth.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

Underbelly saw us in Adelaide and asked us to come along. What a beautiful place to spend a month! And what a great chance to see so many other people's work. We couldn't say no to the opportunity.

How has reception for the show been so far?

FAG/STAG has been a very rewarding show for us: reviewers have loved it, we've played sold out seasons and we've been invited to tour the show around more. The best feedback I think we ever got was a man who came up to us afterwards and said he was gonna hug his sons a little tighter that night.

Who would you recommend comes to see Fag/Stag?

Gays, non-gays, Australians, non-Australians, people who like theatre, people who don't really like theatre but like comedy, people who like comedy but want more from it, people who like to enjoy themselves and also people who like sadness, but really good sadness. All of these people should be at least 16 and not too easily offended by sex talk.

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Lilith: The Jungle Girl, Wild Bore, The Dreamer, Powerful Women Are About and How To Win At History.

Timings and ticket information for Fag/Stag are available on the edfringe website.
