Diva Las Vegas is a show that pays tribute to the divas who have played in Sin City. Our hosts for the evening are a group called The Sundaes and each member has a nickname based on the colour of their wig - Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate. Opening with a medley of songs by Diana Ross and The Supremes they set the energy levels high for the evening.

As well as the musical performances, we are given a history of Vegas. In the 1940s it wasn't exactly a booming holiday destination, but there was a huge increase in tourism in the 1950s thanks to three men known as The Rat Pack. Following on from musical numbers by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, we go back to the divas for medleys from Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. There is a nod to the modern ladies of Vegas too as we have numbers from recent Caesars Palace headliners Shania Twain, Bette Midler and Celine Dion.

This is a pleasant enough way to spend an hour, but there isn't really anything that sets it apart from the thousands of other shows at the festival. Also, I waited a full 60 minutes for the Cher medley that never came. Putting aside the obvious omission of the greatest diva of all time, this was a reasonable tribute to the performers of Vegas and the audience certainly seemed to enjoy themselves.

Diva Las Vegas runs at The Space until 27 August.
