Hi y'all. So we made it all the way from Evergreen to Edinburgh: some by plane, some by train and some by automobile.

Well, I must say Edinburgh is a mighty pretty city, looks like some of these rocks been here since Adam and Eve too, just like the ones in Evergreen. The band are all very excited to be here for the Fringe. Crazy little Tommy stirred up a storm and hit the Assembly opening party hard last night. Brother Daniel is proving a hit with the local ladies and pulling in the crowds. My sweetheart Connor has been sampling the local delicacies, he's particular enjoying the fries and has located a great 'chippy' but is finding ketchup hard to come by. Momma is out pounding the streets and staying out of trouble....well, so far.

And me, Mary.....well, I finally made it out of Evergreen! And I am just so happy to be here. We've got a swell team looking after us at Assembly Roxy. A lovely man called Damo wrote some nice things about us in The Mumble and we got a front page picture on The Stage. We've been hanging out with some swell folks from the other casts and companies up here. If you fancy a drink there's a cute little bar called Brass Monkey just round the corner from the theatre where you can get a nice cool bear and lie down on a bed!

That's all for now folks, catch you later, alligator.

As told to Hannah McPake: actress, theatre maker, occasional musician and co-founder of gagglebabble with Lucy Rivers.

The Bloody Ballad featuring Mary and The Missin' Fingers (by Gaggle Babble, written by Lucy Rivers) from 31st July, The Assembly (Roxy upstairs) at 7:45pm (excl 12 & 19 Aug)
