Reviewing a magic show is a tricky thing to do. It is difficult to describe what is so great about Piff The Magic Dragon without giving anything away.

Piff himself is deadpan, grumpy and genuinely very funny. The audience is fully involved in his show (whether they want to be or not). Accompanied by his assistant Amy Sunshine who is terrifically unenthusiastic throughout the performance and a chihuahua by the name of Mr Piffles, the show makes for an entertaining hour of magic and comedy.

A talented magician and excellent showman, Piff The Magic Dragon is not your typical entertainer. Part of his act is that he is weighed down with the burden of being a magical dragon and he is on a mission to try and break the curse. Having a back story gives a bit more weight to the show. And having an adorable canine companion alongside is never going to hurt either.

Piff The Magic Dragon Show runs at the Pleasance Courtyard. Ticket information and timings are available here.
