It's a Wonder Life: A Live Radio Play Comes To Delta King Theatre

By:

For one week, Capital Stage will present one of America's most beloved holiday classics as a 1940's live radio play. Inspired by the classic film of the same title, It's a Wonder Life: A Live Radio Play takes place on Christmas Eve in a 1946 radio station when five actors assemble to recreate George Bailey's story before a live studio audience. Besides George, you'll see Mary, the wing-less angel Clarence Oddbody, town grump Mr. Potter, bumbling Uncle Billy, even baby Zuzu and all the other wonderful characters that make up Bedford Falls. Add the live 1940's era radio sound effects and you're in for a special holiday treat for the whole family.

It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play will begin performances on Sunday, December 19, 2010 and continue with only five more performances through Sunday, December 26. Included are matinee performances on Wednesday, December 22 and Christmas Eve, December 24. Regular tickets are $25. Tickets for Seniors and Students are $23 and for groups of 12 or more it tickets are $21. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.capstage.org or by calling the box office at 916-995-5464.

It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play will feature returning from last year's production Capital Stage Producing Director, Jonathan Rhys Williams as George Bailey and local favorite Harry Harris. Joining them on stage will be Julie Anchor, Eric Baldwin and Kelley Ogden. Directing this special production will be Eric Wheeler.
