America's premier family-friendly pirate show, Pirate School!, comes to Ocean State Theatre for one performance only as part of Ocean State Theatre Company's Family Fun Fest on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am.
Set sail with a madcap, swashbuckling comedy variety show for the whole family. Touring to theaters and family festivals nationwide, Pirate School! has captivated adventure-questing kids and their parents with its slapstick antics, adept magic, cartoon-like sound effects, eye-popping puppetry, eccentric props and active, full-audience participation. During the show kids learn the finer points of mischief and become "good pirates" - cooperating and carousing together, while getting the chance to live out their dreams of the Golden Age of the Buccaneer! Featured in New York Magazine's "BEST OF NY: KIDS!," veteran New York-based physical comedian and family entertainer David Engel is the bumbling pirate Billy Bones, who lives to teach zany lessons on how to stand, talk, laugh, eat and carouse like boisterous buccaneers. Pirate School! is certain to satisfy the courageous corsair in all who dare to attend. Welcome aboard! (Kids are encouraged to attend in costume.)
