2nd Story Summer Blasts Off With Speech & Debate
2nd Story's summer season blasts off on July 7th with "Speech & Debate" by Stephen Karam, a tale of three high school misfits who discover they are linked by a scandal that's rocked their
town. When the youngest of them sets out to expose the truth, their secrets become currency, the stakes get higher and the trio's connection grows deeper in this fiercely funny contemporary comedy.
Artistic Director Ed Shea says, "I haven't had so much fun working on a play in years. Speech & Debate really is a blast. It's a sharp, hip, engaging modern comedy. Its youthful exuberance will keep our audiences young and give them insight into what it is to be a teen today."
Previews are Thursday July 7, Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9 at 8:00PM. Preview tickets are $20.
Regular performances are Wednesdays at 7:00pm, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm. There are two Sunday performances: July 10 at 7PM and July 24 at 3 PM. Tickets are $27.
Two-play summer subscription packages are available. 2nd Story Theatre is located at 28 Market Street, Warren, RI. For information, visit the website at www.2ndStoryTheatre.com. For tickets, call 401-247-4200, e-mail boxoffice@2ndStoryTheatre.com, or visit the box office.
