THE WOLVES to Make Raleigh Debut

Sonorous Road Repertory, the in-residence professional theatre company at Sonorous Road Theatre, brings the Pulitzer-nominated play The Wolves, by Sarah DeLappe, to the Triangle opening Friday, February 15th, 2019 through Sunday, March 3rd, 2019.

The Wolves, which first premiered at The Duke in NYC in September 2016, centers on the experiences of a high school girls soccer team and their weekly Saturday warm-up routines. From this basic concept the author deftly introduces layers of themes around growing up, suffering, friendship, love, and togetherness. As the season moves forward The Wolves will find themselves on a collision course with the harsh realities of life.

"This play speaks to me as a woman, a mother, and a human being. These ladies' lives, which appear at first simple and mundane, quickly reveal the complexity that only real life can bring. I'm so proud of the actors and other staff members who have helped bring this show to life. It's about so much more than a group of soccer players, it's about the human experience" said Director Michelle Murray Wells, who also serves as the Executive Director of Sonorous Road Repertory.

The Wolves is Directed by Michelle Murray Wells with Movement Direction by Heather Strickland. The show features local actors Sierra Smith, Ivy Evers, Samantha Matthews, Harper Cleland, Elise Kimple, Pimpila Violette, Shawn Morgenlander, Kimmy Fiorentino, Supriya Jaya, and Benji Jones.
