Mamet's NOVEMBER Closes at Theater In The Park 6/20

By:

In this North Carolina premiere, with a remarkable cast including Ira David Wood III (President Charles H. P. Smith), Jesse R. Gephart (Archer Brown), Larry Evans (the Turkey Guy), Cameron West (Clarice Bernstein) and Scotty Cherryholmes (Chief Dwight Grackle), David Mamet's November comes to life on stage at Theatre In The Park, June 11-13 and 17-20.

Under the direction of Ira David Wood III this satire takes audiences behind the scenes in the Oval Office in this hilarious take on the state of America today and the lengths to which people will go to win.

"Manically funny...it says something about November that its swift conclusion makes you yearn for a little more." - Associated Press

Wood says, "Charles Smith, the character I play in November, happens to be the President ... and he's just totally corrupt. He'll do anything for a buck. The character is a stitch. I just don't think I'd like him very much if he were the real President ... my President. Within the context of the play, however, he's hysterical ... and perhaps finally ... even likable at times. I do hope so."

November captures the speed with which most politicos must make decisions in today's 24-hour, never-pausing news cycle.

Steve Larson and Jeff Nugent have done a magnificent job of recreating the Oval Office on stage at Theatre In The Park, while Shawn Stewart Larson created --as usual--wonderful costumes for all...even down to the smallest detail, the Presidential lapel pins!

Tickets are available for all performances, June 11, 12, 17, 18 & 19 @ 8pm and June 13, 19 & 20 @ 3pm by contacting Theatre In The Park's box office at 919-831-6058 or online at www.theatreinthepark.com. Adults - $21, Seniors (60+) - $15, Students/Military - $13.

All shows performed inside at Theatre In The Park's Ira David Wood III Pullen Park Theatre, 107 Pullen Road, Raleigh, NC, near the NCSU Bell Tower.
