Two stories. One set in Paris in the 1880s in a small room inhabited by a tormented artist seeking his inspiration from Japanese art.

Another story is set in after an chemical blast in a city in modern-day China. Two environmental scientists work to chart the reclamation of a deserted city.

A chance meeting between Van Gogh and his inspiration for the painting The Courtesan. How Japanese art influenced Impressionism with a side trip through time to modern-day China at the site of a devastating chemical blast.

A 75-minute staged reading with projections, sound, movement and music by Michelle Fujii and Toru Watanabe of UNIT SOUZOU (featured right in photo by Alex Haslett). The play feaured actors Samson Syharath, Elaine Low and Ken Yoshikawa. With creative team Paige Rogers, Xander Atwood and Joe Rogers.
