An Evening with Woody Guthrie: The Columbia River Songs is presented by Folk Sessions and is performed by Carl Allen of The Wanderers. Special Guests, Three-Legged Dog, a Bluegrass trio, will open the show. Proceeds from the performance goes to support the Coalition for Compassion and Justice (CCJC).

In May 1941, Woody Guthrie was hired by the Bonneville Power Administration to write songs for a film about the Columbia River. The program uses Woody's words and songs about the Pacific Northwest to tell a tale about the sociology and politics of the time from the perspective of a 62 year old Woody - an age he never reached.
