The 11th season of AMERICAN IDOL came to a sensational conclusion last night as Phillip Phillips was crowned the winner during the live two-hour season finale on FOX. Phillips, 21, from Leesburg, GA, received the most of America's world record-shattering 132 million votes - the highest number in the show's history.

Contestant Baylie Brown made a return visit to Fox's AMERICAN IDOL audition round last night. The singer first appeared on the show for Season 6 in 2007 where she made it to the Hollywood week but was then sent home. This year, Brown's version of 'Bed of Roses' wowed the judges and sent her on to the next round of competition!

AMERICAN IDOL Season 11 will kick off on Sunday, January 22, 2012 following the NFC Championship Playoff Game on FOX.

American Idol contestants Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz and Tyler Grady were the first four cut from the ninth season of the competition. In the video below, Entertainment Tonight talks to the foursome about their journey on the reality show.

Here is the audition of Todrick Hall, who was seen on Broadway opposite Fantasia Barrino in The Color Purple. Hall has also appeared in 'High School Musical 2' and in a 'Beauty and the Beast' production at Disney World. He has also appeared on Disney cruise ships as well as writing, choreographing and directing his own original production called 'Oz, the Musical.'

AMERICAN IDOL hopeful Mike Davis may have the most interesting day job of any other contestant on the show: he is an actor on a speedboat. As he tells during his Golden Ticket interview, Davis is part of the 'Codzilla' speedboat experience, a tourism attraction with a theatrical flair.

North Carolina native Noel Reese, now proud owner of an AMERICAN IDOL Golden Ticket, recalls in this interview her early start in the arts, as an admittedly nervous 7-year old, performing songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'The King and I' and 'The Sound of Music'.

AMERICAN IDOL's Golden Ticket Interviews features 19-year-old student Carmen Turner who hails from Baxley, Georgia. In the interview piece, Turner speaks about her own idol, Kelly Clarkson, and her role as Dance Captain for her high school's show choir. Turner auditioned for AMERICAN IDOL with a friend, both hopeful to make it past the first audition, but it was Turner who eventually wowed the judges and landed a Golden Ticket.

The New Broadway Cast Recording of Gypsy will be released on Tuesday August 26th, 2008. The recording session took place at Manhattan's Clinton Recording Studios and BroadwayWorld TV was there to capture all the excitement as the historic event took place.
