Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will soon present Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect, The Book of Mormon) in the original world-premiere musical debuting this summer. The production, by Tony Award-nominated composing duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dogfight; A Christmas Story, The Musical) and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning playwright Steven Levenson(Masters of Sex), is directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (If/Then, Next to Normal, Rent) and will run July 10-August 23, 2015 in the Kreeger Theater. The Richard Rodgers Theatre box office (226 West 46th Street) is now open for tickets to Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Scarlett Johansson as Maggie, Ciaran Hinds as Big Daddy, Benjamin Walker as Brick and Debra Monk as Big Mama, directed by Rob Ashford. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opens Thursday, January 17, 2013. Previews begin Tuesday, December 18. This limited engagement runs for 15 weeks only, through March 30, 2013. During the Super Bowl today, February 5, NBC launched its "Brotherhood Of Man" network promo. Cast members of NBC shows including "Smash," "30 Rock," "Parks & Recreation," and "Parenthood" performed Frank Loesser's classic song from HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. In the current smash hit Broadway revival of the musical comedy, international superstar Nick Jonas performs the tuneful anthem and Mr. Jonas will guest star on the Monday, February 27 episode of "Smash."
