On last night's TONIGHT SHOW, Glenn Close gave a sample of one of her high school performing group's song parodies and demos a vocal exercise she uses to warm up for her Broadway show SUNSET BOULEVARD.

This morning, January 26th, actress Glenn Close will stop by NBC's TODAY to discuss her return to Broadway in the revival of Sunset Boulevard.

Three-time Tony Award-winner Glenn Close and company are in rehearsals for the Broadway return of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Sunset Boulevard. Close made her West End debut in bravura sold-out limited engagement at the English National Opera (ENO) in April 2016, winning an Evening Standard Award for her iconic portrayal of Norma Desmond. Based on Billy Wilder's classic Academy Award-winning film, Sunset Boulevard features a celebrated book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton.) Directed by Lonny Price, this production of Sunset Boulevard will feature a 40-piece orchestra on the stage of The Palace Theatre (1564 7th Avenue), the biggest on Broadway in more than 80 years. Performances will begin on Thursday, February 2, 2017, with an official opening night set for Thursday, February 9, 2017.Sunset Boulevard will play a limited 16-week engagement.

25 years after the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical production of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic children's story The Secret Garden, the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) and the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle co-presents the timeless tale from November 15-December 31 at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). Rehearsals began just last month for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard at the English National Opera. Since then, star Glenn Close stopped by Graham Norton to chat about the production and revealed her hopes that it will lead into something more. She said, 'I'm hoping very much that this will lead directly to making a movie... this like a revving up. It's a very elaborate rehearsal.' Check out the full interview below!

SHOW BOAT will be sailing from Sheffield to London when the Crucible's hit production transfers to the West End this spring. The Daily Mail writes that stars Gina Beck, Emmanuel Kojo and Rebecca Trehearn will move with Daniel Evans' production of the classic musical from April 9 at the New London Theatre. Olivier nominee Michael Xavier, who played 'Gaylord Ravenal' in the original production, will not reprise his role, as he will be starring opposite Glenn Close in SUNSET BOULEVARD at the London Coliseum. Norma's coming back to the big screen! As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Glenn Close will star as Norma Desmond in SUNSET BOULEVARD, presented by English National Opera (ENO) and the GradeLinnit Company, this coming spring. Now, writer Christopher Hampton revealed that a movie version of the musical is in the works, according to the Evening Standard.  He told ES: 'In fact we are looking down the line to make a movie of it later. When we first did Sunset Boulevard it was somehow still too close to the original. Now you have to ask yourself and find a director who would ask 'What is there about this story that was made so perfectly in 1950 that justified me doing it again?' '
