At the 2014 Academy Awards U2 performed their song 'Ordinary Love' from the movie MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM. The song earned them a Best Original Song nomination. The band's Bono and The Edge co-wrote the music for Broadway's SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. They did not receive any Tony nominations for that show.
