Kit Harington will return to the London stage to play the title role in an anarchic production of Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York's Theatre, London, from 9th April 2016. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, Christopher Marlowe's masterwork, with two acts by Colin Teevan, will preview from Monday 9th April 2016, booking until Saturday 4th June.

Hall's brand new piece was conceived in collaboration with the internationally renowned sound designer David Sheppard during her stay at the distinguished five-star hotel as its Artist in Residence. It will be performed for audiences of 12 at a time in the beautiful rooms, intimate spaces, and restricted areas of the hotel from bedrooms through to boiler rooms. The piece invites audiences to embark on a sonic journey of discovery in a promenade performance where they will be led by a live choir and find musicians where least expected accompanied by specially recorded music. Rooms will spontaneously break into song and drama will unfold along the corridors. An opera unlike any other, Found & Lost will have its official opening night at the hotel on 27 January.

Artistic Director Josie Rourke said: One of the things that most excites me about this season is the strong leading roles for women. It is a thrill to announce a season of work that features, in plays by living writers, women of the calibre and power of Zawe Ashton, Sinead Cusack, Michelle Dockery, Michelle Fairley, Genevive O'Reilly and Janet McTeer, who returns to the Donmar and the London stage. This, combined with the transfer of Phyllida Lloyd's second instalment in her trilogy of all-female Shakespeares to New York shows a programme of work in deep conversation with the lives of women and their status as actors on our stage. We continue our commitment to bringing topical and searing new plays to the Donmar with the British premiere of Christopher Shinn's Teddy Ferrara. I am particularly delighted that Dominic Cooke is returning to theatre and to his long-standing collaboration with Christopher Shinn to direct this production. On a personal note, I have long wanted to direct Christopher Hampton's superb Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and the cast we have drawn together is a testament to the brilliance of his play. As well as welcoming Janet McTeer back to the Donmar, I am thrilled that Dominic West will return to our stage in this production.

Ground-breaking composer Emily Hall has been selected from eleven finalists to produce a site responsive opera piece at the Corinthia Hotel London. After entering the hotel's Artist in Residence competition - a search to find a composer or company to produce a brand new opera inspired piece inside the distinguished five star hotel- Emily Hall's idea was selected by a panel of music and arts industry leaders.
