Joe's Pub at The Public Theater debuted in October 1998 and has quickly became one of New York City's most celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance. With its genre-blind booking and vast diversity of interests, the stage at Joe's Pub gives voice to a world of varied and stellar artists. The following perforers are set to make appearances May 17-20:

Conductor Juraj Val?uha leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic and pianist Yefim Bronfman at Walt Disney Concert Hall in three performances, Thursday, April 21, at 8 p.m., Friday, April 22, at 11 a.m. and Saturday, April 23, at 8 p.m.

Maestro Paul Freeman, who founded the Chicago Sinfonietta 24 years ago, takes the podium as Music Director for the final time for the last concert of the Sinfonietta's 2010-2011 season, titled Women in Classical Music.

Texas Performing Arts welcomes 2010 Grammy Award-winning Brazilian guitar virtuosos Sérgio and Odair Assad for an evening devoted to their Lebanese musical roots, aptly titled De Volta As Raizes (Back To Our Roots).

Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas will bring their Paper Airplane Summer Tour 2011 to St. Louis at The Fabulous Fox Theatre on September 22, 2011 at 8 p.m.

Carnegie Hall launches its 120th anniversary year celebration on Tuesday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m. with a one-night-only gala event hosted by renowned singer/songwriter James Taylor in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. This festive evening pays tribute to Carnegie Hall's illustrious history, highlighting many of the extraordinary musical and cultural events that have taken place on the Hall's legendary stages over the past twelve decades. Featured special guests include: Barbara Cook, Steve Martin, Bette Midler, Sting, and members of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus among others. This concert is one of four Carnegie Hall Perspectives performances presented by Taylor this spring.

Violinist Itzhak Perlman will perform music from Vienna and Hollywood with the New York Philharmonic on Monday, April 11, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert. The program replaces the previously announced Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario, narrated by Christopher Plummer. Mr. Plummer has had to reschedule his appearance with the Orchestra due to the extended filming of Barrymore; a new concert date will be announced at a later time. Repertoire for Mr. Perlman's program will be announced shortly.

On May 5, 2011, Carnegie Hall will commemorate its 120th anniversary with an all-star gala concert featuring conductor Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic and special guests pianist Emanuel Ax, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Gil Shaham, and the four-time Tony Award-winning singer and actress Audra McDonald.

Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer - masters of their own instruments and styles - are even more impressive in their abilities to cross over from genre to genre.

The New York Philharmonic will celebrate the Chinese New Year with a gala concert featuring Chinese and western orchestral music, Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. Long Yu - artistic director and chief conductor of the China Philharmonic, music director of the Shanghai and Guanzhou Symphony Orchestras, and artistic director of the Beijing Music Festival - will make his Philharmonic debut.

New York-based Erik Ochsner will conduct performances of the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: Live to Projection at Powell Symphony Hall, St. Louis, MO. The performances feature Howard Shore's Academy Award®-winning score performed live, synchronized to film.

The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma will a play a one-night-only concert at the Majestic Theatre on March 31st. The event will be followed by An Evening on the Silk Road, an afterparty at the Hotel Valencia.
