The July-September broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week - the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin - will feature diverse programming, including Music Director Alan Gilbert leading Mahler's Symphony No. 2, Resurrection, in A Concert for New York on the 10th anniversary of 9/11; Bramwell Tovey conducing works including the World Premiere of a work he himself composed, featuring Principal Trombone Joseph Alessi as soloist; and special compilations celebrating former Philharmonic Music Directors Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez, and Kurt Masur.

The Brevard Music Center (BMC) will open its 2015 season tonight, June 20, with superstar pianist André Watts and BMC Principal Guest Conductor JoAnn Falletta in an all-Beethoven program.

Ravinia's 2015 season, jam-packed with more than 120 events from tonight, June 16 through Sept. 10, features 60 artist debuts and 55 classical works never before performed at Ravinia. More than 35 programs will feature works by new and 20th-century composers.

The final recording and complete box set of The Nielsen Project - the New York Philharmonic's acclaimed multi-season survey of the six symphonies and three concertos by Danish composer Carl Nielsen (1865-1931) - will be released today, June 9, 2015, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth.

One of America's most versatile and prolific living composers, Andre Previn, joins Pacific Symphony as the honored guest and focus of the 15th American Composers Festival (ACF). Previn, who has been called one of America's least easily categorized musicians, began his remarkable career as a Hollywood "wunderkind" and a best-selling jazz pianist. Now 86, Previn has received four Academy Awards for his work in film, 10 Grammy Awards for his recordings (plus one more for his Lifetime Achievement), and he is also an honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. He's held a series of major conducting posts, including the L.A. Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra, but now exclusively composes. The concert is led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, whose great admiration for the legend shaped this year's ACF to reveal the scope of Previn's prowess as a composer.

Entering its seventh season in 2015-16, CONTACT!, the Philharmonic's new-music series, will extend its reach across New York City through a new partnership with National Sawdust (formerly Original Music Workshop), a new, non-profit, state-of-the-art music venue opening in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in October 2015.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Franz Welser-Most have announced details of the Orchestra's 2015-16 season. The year marks the Orchestra's 98th season and the 14th season with Franz Welser-Most as Music Director.

Music Director Gustavo Dudamel leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Mahler's Symphony No. 6 at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Mar. 5 - 8, 2015; and Adams' City Noir and Dvoak's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World," Mar. 12 and 13, 2015; before performing these works with the LA Phil on tour in Hong Kong, Shangai, Seoul and Tokyo, Mar. 19 - 29, 2015.

The 50th season of Lincoln Center's Great Performers series, which will run from October 14, 2015 through June 4, 2016, was announced today by Jane Moss, Ehrenkranz Artistic Director.

Select concerts from the Los Angeles Philharmonic's 2013/14 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall will be broadcast in China via WFMT Radio Network's historic agreement with Shanghai East Radio Company, marking the first time in history that American orchestras will be heard on a regular basis in China.
