In the spring of 1939, two musical adaptations of Gilbert and Sullivan's 1885 music theater masterpiece "The Mikado" opened on Broadway. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Turner Classic Movies today announced the three finalists for the 'Atlanta Symphony Songster 2010' amateur vocal competition.
