The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud present the premiere of Donna McKechnie's new Talk/Variety show just last week. Tony-winning choreographer/director Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots) was Donna's Very Special Guest for the evening, with singers Nick Adams and Nikki MacCallum singing songs from Mitchell's hit shows. Donna and Jerry discussed life, love, careers and even ended the evening with a good, old-fashioned soft-shoe, after Mitchell demonstrated his most successful audition tune, 'I Love A Piano!'

Stage & Screen, a collaboration between Coolidge Corner Theatre and Huntington Theatre Company that explores the depictions of shared themes in Huntington productions and acclaimed films continues its second season of collaboration on Monday, January 6 at 7pm with Secretary starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader. Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced the first round of participants for the inaugural WTF CABARETSERIES at 54 Below. A revolving cast of Festival veterans, including Todd Almond, Becky Ann Baker, Jessica Hecht, Greg Hildreth, Joe Iconis,Lauren Molina, Euan Morton, Amy Spanger and Jacob Ming Trent will all participate in the Cabaret, which runs between January 15 - 18, 2014with a different lineup of performers each night.
Huntington Theatre Company kicks off 2014 with David Ives' sexy Broadway smash hit Venus in Fur, deemed '90 minutes of good, kinky fun,' by The New York Times. A riveting new play by Pulitzer Prize nominee and creator of TV's hit drama Brothers & Sisters, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities was named the Outstanding Play by the Outer Critics Circle and called 'the best new play on Broadway' by The New York Times. Jackson Gay returns to direct this new production after helming the Alley Theatre's productions of August: Osage County, Red andIntelligence-Slave.

The Lark Play Development Center announces a BareBones workshop production of Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau (Detroit '67 and Sunset Baby), the third and final play in her Detroit cycle, to be directed by Artistic Director of Baltimore's Center Stage and Chancellor of the University of the Arts London, Kwame Kwei-Armah. The workshop will run at Lark's BareBones Studio from February 21 - March 3 at 311 West 43rd Street in New York City. All tickets will be free and will open for reservations in January.

Tina Benko has received the annual St. Clair Bayfield Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation for her performance as Titania in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Julie Taymor as Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural production at its new home in Brooklyn.
