Artists Repertory Theatre presents a staged reading of Portland playwright George Taylor's Good Citizen as part of their ongoing PlayLab program.

Bonnie Pfeifer Evans, fashion model, philanthropist and real estate investor; Mindy Grossman, Chief Executive Officer of HSN, Inc (Home Shopping Network); and Bebe Neuwirth, two-time Tony Award-winner currently starring on Broadway in Addams Family are Women's Project's 2011 Women of Achievement who will be inducted at the 26th Annual Gala Celebration hosted by the Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning Kathleen Turner at ESPACE, 635 West 42nd Street, on Monday, March 7, at 6:30pm.

Collaborative Arts Theatre is pleased to present the Southeastern regional premiere of Tina Packer's Women of Will, a funny, lively and insightful look at some of Shakespeare's female heroines.

The Village Voice, the nation's first and largest alternative weekly newspaper, announced the judges for the 56th Annual Village Voice Obie Awards. The Voice's chief theater critic, Michael Feingold, will again chair the Obie Awards committee. Joining him will be Voice critic Alexis Soloski and four guest judges: Critic Hilton Als of The New Yorker; playwright David Henry Hwang, a three-time Obie Award winner for his plays F.O.B., Golden Child, and Yellow Face; director Evan Yionoulis, an Obie award winner for her production of Richard Greenberg's Three Days of Rain; and critic Andy Propst, of TheaterMania AmericanTheaterWeb.com (and also a frequent Voice contributor), who will again serve as secretary to the committee.

Executive Artistic Director Carson Kievman has announced that SoBe Institute of the Arts (SoBe Arts) will present staged readings of promising new plays, beginning with Acapulco by New York writer Jacquelyn Reingold (HBO's In Treatment, Law and Order, and produced off-Broadway) and featuring L.A.-based Evan Handler ('Sex and the City,' 'Californication,' and films by Ron Howard and Oliver Stone) in addition to local artists.

AracaWorks is a five-day, five-play series celebrating new plays. Each night, audiences will be treated to a reading of a new play at an early stage of development. Araca's goal with this project is to present plays that have not yet received a fully realized production in New York City and to create a platform for the development of new plays and new voices. AracaWorks will pair each playwright with a director and a group of New York actors. The series will provide an outlet for playwrights to explore their material in a forum open to the public, yet safe from critical reviews.

The star-studded cast of HBO's new film, 'Too Big To Fail,' welcomes two new additions, Bill Pullman (Oleanna, 'Independence Day,' 'Sleepless in Seattle') and Matthew Modine (The Miracle Worker, 'Married to the Mob,' 'And the Band Played On'), according to deadline.com. 'Too Big To Fail,' set to begin production in October, will date back two years, highlighting the 2008 financial crisis and the various power brokers -- Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Bros., among others -- who drove the United States near financial destruction. Based on Andrew Ross Sorkin's book, also of the same name, the film will be directed by Curtis Hanson and will be led by Academy Award winner William Hurt as Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

Kathleen Turner is currently starring in the world premiere production of HIGH at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. The production is running through October 2, 2010, after which producers are aiming for a Broadway transfer. Due to robust advance ticket sales Artists Repertory Theatre will extend the run of Long Day's Journey Into Night until September 5. The world-class production of Long Day's Journey Into Night comes to Portland, Oregon after playing to sold out houses for five weeks in Sydney, Australia. Artists Repertory Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company bring this Broadway-caliber international collaboration to Portland for a three-week engagement. Opening Night is August 14, 2010, with one preview performance August 13, 2010. Long Day's Journey Into Night runs August 13-September 5, 2010 at the Newmark Theatre, 1111 SW Broadway, Portland, Oregon.

The Broadway-bound production of Matthew Lombardo's HIGH starring Broadway veteran Kathleen Turner begins performances at the Cincinnati Playhouse on September 4 with an opening night set for September 9. HIGH will run through October 2.

Veteran actress Kathleen Turner will return to the stage in the role of a recovering alcoholic nun in Matthew Lombardo's world premiere 'High' to be presented by Hartford's TheaterWorks. The production is scheduled to run from July 9 to August 22. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. .
