PETER PAN Extends In Kensington Gardens Thru 9/13, US Tour To Begin May 2010

Peter Pan, who has returned home for the first time in over 100 years with a new production of JM Barrie's 'PETER PAN' being performed in a one million pound purpose-built theatre tent in Kensington Gardens, is so successful that already its run has been extended to the end of the Kensington Gardens season. Due to the triumph that is 'PETER PAN', many of the performances in the current booking period are sold out. The extra performances are from 1 - 13 September and these are now on sale.

As JM Barrie wrote in 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens', 'Standing on the ledge he could see trees far away, which were doubtless the Kensington Gardens, and the moment he saw them he entirely forgot that he was now a little boy in a nightgown, and away he flew, right over the houses into the Gardens.'

Next summer, Kensington Gardens plays host to a unique and remarkable theatre event - a spectacular new stage production of J. M. Barrie's classic story, performed in a specially commissioned, state-of-the-art Theatre Pavilion. For the first time in 100 years, Peter Pan is coming home... when Peter Pan comes to Kensington Gardens Peter Pan Kensington Gardens promises to be a dramatic and truly magical summer experience in the park. Conceived and staged by an award-winning creative team, the production will include a breathtaking 360-degree projected scenic design. Picnic in the theatre pavilion garden, soaking up the atmosphere, take a Royal Parks' Peter Pan tour culminating at the show or just make your way through the Kensington Gardens to Neverland. This new production of Peter Pan is taking place in a specially commissioned, state-of-the-art Theatre Pavilion, constructed in Kensington Gardens. The breathtaking 360 degree projected scenery of Peter Pan will bring all the magical aspects of Neverland to life. This new adaptation of Peter Pan is designed by leading theatre designer, William Dudley. William has an international reputation for his work creating 3D virtual environments.

'Carousel' to Play Savoy Theatre

The upcoming revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, starring Lesley Garrett, will transfer to the West End at the conclusion of its fall tour. It will play the Savoy Theatre and open on 2 December 2008 (previews from 22 November).
