According to the New York Post, Broadway James M. Nederlander passed away last night, July 25. He was 94 years old.

Shear Madness, the hit comedy whodunit, resumes performances at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street) tonight, Friday July 15th.

After selling out shows across Chicago, "WOZ: A Rock Cabaret," is back by popular demand for five performances only now through July 17, 2016 at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Joining the original cast as the Wizard is Tony Award-nominated actor Andre De Shields, Broadway's original "The Wiz" (1975). The Midtown International Theater Festival (MITF) presents Insomnia with music and lyrics by Charles Bloom and book by Theo Wolf. Ovi Vargas directs a cast of seven, including Philip Skinner, Jesse Manocherian*, Anette Michelle Sanders*, Lauren Lukacek*, Chris Brick*, Tyler Milliron*, and Dennis Holland* (Bway: The Music Man, Peter Pan). Insomnia is being staged at the Main Stage, 312 West 36th Street in New York City from August 2-7, 2016.

?WaterTower Theatre Managing Director Gregory Patterson and Associate Artistic Director Kelsey Leigh Ervi today announced the directors for the upcoming 2016-2017 WaterTower Theatre Main Stage Season in The Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre.   Directing the season opener, Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash (October 7- 30, 2016) is B.J. Cleveland with Musical Direction by Sonny Franks.  Next up, the regional premiere of Silent Sky (January 20-February 12, 2017) will be directed by Kelsey Leigh Ervi.  The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord (April 14-May 7, 2017) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks.  Rene Moreno will return to direct Native Gardens (June 2- 25, 2017). Sunday in the Park With George (July 28-August 20, 2017) will be directed by Terry Martin, with Musical Direction by Jeff Lankov.

Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, are proud to welcome Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner Cady Huffman to the cast of Shear Madness. Cady assumes the role of Mrs. Shubert, originated by Lynne Wintersteller. Also joining the cast is Jonathan Randell Silver, most recently seen in Please Continue at Ensemble Studio Theatre, who will assume the role of Mike Thomas.  Adam Gerber, who created the role of Mike Thomas, has replaced Jeremy Kushnier in the role of Eddie Lawrence.
