The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is to tour throughout the UK opening at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions are by Paul Kieve, choreography is by Ashley Wallen, video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken. The UK tour is being produced by David Ian Productions, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Colin Ingram, and Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle. Full casting for the tour will be announced later this year.

Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays star-studded benefit concert will be held tonight, December 8th at New York City's Beacon Theatre to help raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness and support the True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project.

In NYC, the temperature rose in much the same way that it actually unseasonably happened to do in Gothan itself this week with a spectacularly sexy "All That Jazz" and some seriously stage-worthy barn-burners courtesy of "Being Good Isn't Good Enough" - recently re-introduced to the world at large by no less than Barbra Streisand in her landmark 2012 tour (as well as on her recently released cut-out compilation RELEASE ME) - and COMPANY classic "Being Alive". While next week is sure to provide all the holiday cheer a show named GLEE could possibly muster - which is a whole lot - this week's "Swan Song" reminded us why GLEE connects and continues to express an all-too-rarely explored, expressed and enacted trope of those who are involved with the performing arts: competition inspires greater dedication.

Just in time to cheer up the holiday season and to welcome the New Year, producers Whoopi Goldberg, Stage Entertainment and Troika Entertainment announce casting for the North American Tour of five-time Tony Award® nominated musical SISTER ACT. SISTER ACT will play the Broward Center for the Performing Arts December 18 - 30 as part of the Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale subscription series.

On this week's episode of GLEE titled 'Swan Song,' as New Directions regroups after Sectionals, Finn ponders his future with the club. We had a great Thanksgiving Day. In the morning, we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. How could we be in NYC and not go to the parade? Then we had Thanksgiving dinner with Erin Dilly, who plays my mother in the show, and her family at their home. It was a wonderful time. We had to have an early dinner though, because we had a performance that evening. It went well, the audience was great, a good ending to a great Thanksgiving Day! The weekend after Thanksgiving, my grandmother, aunt, and cousins visited us from North Carolina. They saw our show - A Christmas Story, the Musical! - twice and all loved it, from my grandmother who is 85 down to my youngest cousin who is 5. We also saw the Rockettes while they were here and had a backstage tour after the show, including visiting the camels who were a highlight of the living Nativity scene.

The Guthrie today announced that BEHOLD, its 50th-anniversary one-time gala performance, will be directed by New York-based Peter Flynn, whose extensive credits include directorial work on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in regional theaters. BEHOLD, part of the Guthrie's anniversary weekend celebration, will combine classical text, music, original work, video and dance performed by artists to be announced in the months to come. The event will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2013.
