Jenny Q Chai Plays Carnegie Hall, 4/19

Performing works by Inhyun Kim, Ashley Fu-Tsun Wang, Marco Stroppa, Kurtag, Messaien, Ligeti, Debussy, and Schumann, pianist Jenny Q. Chai makes her Carnegie Hall debut at Zankel Hall on Thursday, April 19 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 ($15 for students) and will be available beginning February 19th at www.carnegiehall.org, at the Carnegie Hall Box office at 57th street and 7th avenue in New York City (which is also the location of the venue), or by calling 212 247 7800.

Norah McGuinness Exhibition at Roscommon Arts Centre Opens March 15

Roscommon Arts Centre presents Norah McGuinness: Illustrations to the Stories of Red Hanrahan. This small exhibition of McGuinness' illustrations to William Butler Yeats' The Stories of Red Hanrahan and the Secret Rose (1905) will mark one of the very few times that these works have been exhibited publicly in many years. The suite of drawings has recently undergone some moderate conservation work, a project which was made possible under the Heritage Council Grants Programme and is brought to Roscommon Arts Centre in collaboration with The Model, Sligo.

Roscommon Arts Centre presents Norah McGuinness: Illustrations to the Stories of Red Hanrahan. But nowhere will it be more Emerald Green that at the Ivoryton Playhouse when the 100th birthday season opens on March 16th with Frank McCourt's perennially popular The Irish...and How They Got That Way. First produced at the Playhouse in 2007, the show was such a tremendous success that extra performances had to be added and we are thrilled to bring it back as part of our Centennial year.
