Blackwell, Bell Hold Workshop at Vineyard Theatre, 1/9

The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) will kick off its new series, VINEYARD MASTERS - master classes with leading Vineyard Theatre artists - on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. with 'DIE VAMPIRE, DIE! WORKSHOP' conducted by the actress Susan Blackwell and actor and Tony-nominated writer Hunter Bell, both stars of the musical [title of show], which was given its world-premiere at the Vineyard in 2006 prior to its Broadway transfer in 2008.

Wilson Jermaine Heredia to Join LA CAGE AUX FOLLES Feb. 15

It's just been announced that Wilson Jermaine Heredia, who famously created the drag queen role of Angel in the 1996 Off Broadway production of RENT before winning a Tony for the same role on Broadway will join LA CAGE AUX FOLLES on Broadway on February 15th. Heredia will replace Robin de Jesus in the part, and joins the production at the same time as new stars Harvey Fierstein and Jeffrey Tambor.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Jane Austen's Emma - A Musical Romantic Comedy. The musical, with book, music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon and direction by Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun, will run in the Old Globe Theatre Jan. 15 - Feb. 27. Preview performances run Jan. 15 - Jan. 22. The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) has announced that its 2010 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1 million dollars, marking the largest single donation in BC/EFA history. The foundation, which is funded by royalties from the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb's vast catalogue of work, makes an annual donation to BC/EFA.

The Amoralists will extend the New York Premiere of Ghosts in the Cottonwoods, written and directed by Adam Rapp. Ghosts in the Cottonwoods, originally set to close on December 6, will continue its Off-Broadway run through December 12 at Theatre 80 St. Marks, located at 80 St. Marks Place between 1st and 2nd Avenues in NYC.
