Official: HAMILTON, Written by and Starring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Set for Public Theater's 2014-15 Season

As first reported by BWW yesterday, HAMILTON, written by the Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer and lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda, will have its world premiere next January as part of The Public's 2014-15 season at Astor Place. Directed by his In The Heights collaborator Thomas Kail, this new musical features Miranda playing Alexander Hamilton, one of our country's Founding Fathers and the first Secretary of the Treasury. Tax-deductible Public Theater Memberships are available now and guarantee early access to tickets.
Arizona Theatre Company Puts Spin on AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, 3/27-4/13

The celebrated off-Broadway comedy, Around the World in 80 Days, which features five actors in a theatrical tour-de-force playing 39 characters from Jules Verne's classic adventure novel, will come alive through the Arizona Theatre Company production at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe, from March 27-April 13.

The ultimate uncharted territory is explored in HereAfterHere: A Self-Guided Tour of Eternity, a work that explores what - if anything - happens after we die. Acclaimed director, choreographer, and performer Tandy Beal created this thought-provoking work, collaborating with composer Jon Scoville to interview over 500 people of all ages, races, and religions, whose different descriptions of the hereafter are brought to life, as it were, in a stunning presentation that blends music, dance, film, magic, and humor. HereAfterHere, presented by Santa Clara University's SCU Presents, Arts for Social Justice, and the Department of Theatre & Dance, as part of its Visiting Artist Series, plays at Santa Clara University's Louis B. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra welcomes back revered conductor, and former CSO Creative Director, Rafael Fru?hbeck de Burgos for his second engagement of the 2013- 14 season. Tonight, February 28 and March 1 at historic Music Hall, Maestro Fru?hbeck de Burgos will conduct one of the most epic works in orchestral and choral repertoire-Verdi's Requiem. The piece pulls together massive forces of orchestra, chorus and soloists for an impassioned and dramatic blockbuster of human emotion. The 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the Next Link Project musical selections. The 10 musicals were announced as part of the 11th edition of the Festival, which will take place from July 7 to July 27 at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City, including The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).
