New Line Theatre Off Line's third annual fundraiser returns once again to the scene of the crime, with the outrageous THAT 70s GAMES SHOW! LIVE! STRIKES BACK!, on Saturday, August 2, a wacky, live 1970s-style game show with contestants from the audience and the New Liners as 'celebrities.'

WEST SIDE STORY, now playing through August 3 at Riverside Center, still has the power to enthrall audiences with Leonard Bernstein's symphonic jazz score and Stephen Sondheim's young lyrics. The lyrical voices of Quinn Vogt-Welch and Matthew Hirsh as Maria and Tony captivate the audience.

The comedy thriller runs from tonight, July 11 through July 27.

The Daily Mail writes that THE AUDIENCE, starring Helen Mirren, is on its way to Broadway. The production, helmed by Stephen Daldry and written by Peter Morgan, will begin previews in February 2015 for a March opening. Based on Stephen Frears acclaimed film, THE AUDIENCE played a sold-out run at the Gielgud last year.

First Niagara Bank and The Ridgefield Playhouse will present the 9th Annual community event -- Shakespeare on the Green and Green Expo -- on Saturday, August 9. The "how to live green" fair runs from 12 noon to 4 p.m. with Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona" taking place under a tent for a seated audience at 2 p.m., all on the green at The Ridgefield Playhouse.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is one of 40 nonprofit theatre companies chosen to participate in the 2014-15 Shakespeare in American Communities program. The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the third production of the 2014 Summer Season, Ronald Harwood's comedy Quartet, directed by Richard Seer (Other Desert Cities, God of Carnage, The Last Romance).
