The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company has announced the full cast for Red Velvet, the third production in the inauguralPlays at the Garrick season. The production, which originally premiered at the Tricycle Theatre in 2012 before transferring to St Ann's Warehouse in New York in 2014, will play at the Garrick Theatre from 23 January until 27 February 2016. Red Velvet is written by Lolita Chakrabarti with direction by Indhu Rubasingham and stars Adrian Lester as Ira Aldridge.

Fun will be had, sticks will be slapped, pizza will be eaten.

SANCHO: AN ACT OF REMEMBRANCE, conceived, written, and performed by Paterson Joseph and co-directed by Simon Godwin, will make its New York premiere at BAM Fisher this December.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre continues the 2015-16 season with a production of William Shakespeare's comedy TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Victor Maog. It is the second show of the mainstage series and will perform in the Nafe Katter Theatre. CRT brings audiences a TWELFTH NIGHT infused with the music and jollity of the Christmas season. Wrapped in carols and mistletoe Shakespeare's finest comedy is a paean to the restorative power of love and the uproarious joy of the holidays. Pegasus Theatre Chicago shines the spotlight on the next generation of authors at its 29th YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL, featuring three world premiere works written by Chicago high school students and staged in a professional production. This year's festival will play January 1 - 23, 2016 at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. in Chicago. Andy Grotelueschen has received the annual St. Clair Bayfield Award presented by the Actors Equity Foundation for his performance as Launce in the Fiasco Theater's production of Two Gentlemen of Verona. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, President of the Foundation, and Joan Glazer, Managing Director.

Following a successful run on Dancing with the Stars placing as a finalist in the top three, Army National Guard Specialist and American hero Alek Skarlatos is joining Dancing with the Stars: Live! - Dance All Night Tour coming to New York. Skarlatos made headlines around the world in August 2015 when he and his friends heroically overpowered a man that opened fire on a train from Amsterdam to Paris. He has been awarded the United States Army Soldier's Medal from U.S. President Barack Obama and has received France's highest decoration, the Legion of Honour, from French president Francois Hollande.

Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) continues its 44th performance Season and 4th year as Resident Ballet Company of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts with the release of single tickets for the second half of its 2015-2016 Season of grace, strength, artistry and celebration: CINDERELLA and ROMEO & JULIET on Sunday, November 22.  

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the three winning shows in the TRU Voices Musicals Series, which will have readings on Mondays January 18 and 25, and February 1, 2016 at 7pm at the Engelman Recital Hall in the Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Ave, NYC.

Theatre for a New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, will present William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of twenty-two actors. Pericles marks Mr. Camargo's third Shakespeare title role for Theatre for a New Audience, and the first time not only that Trevor Nunn has directed this play, but the first time he has directed a Shakespeare with a U.S. company.  The production begins previews February 14 and opens February 25 for a scheduled run through March 27 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.

Centenary Stage Company's family favorite Holiday Spectacular, A Christmas Carol:  The Musical, returns to the Sitnik Theater on November 27 until December 13 in the Lackland Center.

On Saturday, December 19 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents Holiday POPS! Wonderlands featuring festive music sparked by imaginative visions of distant lands. Conducted by John Devlin, concert highlights include works by Vaughan-Williams, Tchaikovsky, Humperdinck, and Sibelius. The Princeton High School Choir performs Handel's Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah and arrangements of "I Saw Three Ships" and "Twelve Days of Christmas," accompanied by the orchestra. The traditional sing-along, an arrangement of seasonal favorites by Leroy Anderson, includes the addition of young violinists of El Sistema-Trenton playing alongside PSO professionals. The student musicians also perform David Rimelis' "Three Little Birds/Ode to Joy."

The New Group presents the world premiere of STEVE, a new play by Mark Gerrard. Directed by Cynthia Nixon, this production features Ashlie Atkinson and Francisco Pryor Garat, and as announced, Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon, Malcolm Gets and Matt McGrath. A limited Off-Broadway engagement plays now through December 27 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street), with Official Opening Night set for tonight, November 18.
