For three Monday evenings in July, ballet fans nationwide can enjoy the Bolshoi Ballet's awe-inspiring performances from the comfort of their local cinemas. The “Bolshoi Ballet Summer Series” brings three classic events back to the big screen for one-evening-only presentations. The series includes Giselle on July 9, featuring ballet superstars Svetlana Zakharova and Sergei Polunin, Alexei Ratmansky's poetic staging of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet on July 16, and classical ballet's most beloved story, born at the Bolshoi Theatre, Swan Lake on July 23. All performances were captured live from the Bolshoi Theatre stage in Moscow, Russia.

GreenStage 30th anniversary season kicks off July 1318th annual Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival July 14-15 at Volunteer Park GreenStage will kick off its thirtieth season of free Shakespeare in the Park Friday, July 13 with the first of more than 60 performances scheduled in more than 20 area parks running through August 18. Three women will direct our four plays, all of which are 'bad boy' plays; we're excited to see how they speak to audiences in the era of #metoo. All performances are free, contributions are enthusiastically accepted.

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. Casting is complete for HURRICANE DAMAGE, a world-premiere dramedy by the New York-based playwright Kevin Brofsky that will be the fourth entry in Pride Films and Plays' five-show PAC Pride Fest. HURRICANE DAMAGE, opening on August 3 after previews on August 1 and 2, concerns two long-time partners, veterans of the 1970's gay scene in New York, living on Florida's Gulf Coast. Dennis and Oscar are visited by an old friend of those days, a photographer named Norman who has remained single and brings back bittersweet memories of their glory days in Manhattan. The couple will be played by company member Charles A. Berglund as Dennis and Danne W. Taylor as Oscar.

This August, Jenny Horsthuis (Swift in Word, Corbett Theatre; Macbeth, St. Paul's Church; Inside Pussy Riot, Saatchi Gallery) will return to St. Paul's Church to star as the brave hero d'Artagnan in Iris Theatre's thrilling re-gendered The Three Musketeers. Also returning to St. Paul's is Matt Stubbs (A Serious Business, Pleasance Theatre/The Hat Factory; A Midsummer Night's Dream, Stafford Castle; Macbeth, St. Paul's Church) who will be playing Athos - one of the formidable musketeers. Completing the infamous trio are Albert De Jongh (The White Princess, Starz Network; As You Like It, Petersfield Shakespeare Festival; King John, Union Theatre) and Elliot Liburd (Bismillah: An ISIS Tragicomedy, Pleasance Theatre; The Girl With The Iron Claws, Dartington; Titus Andronicus, Fourth Monkey Theatre Company) who will be playing Aramis and Porthos respectively.
