Photo Flash: First Look at the World Stage Premiere of THE KNOWLEDGE at Charing Cross Theatre

The Knowledge is based on the iconic 1979 TV film comedy. Maureen Lipman not only played a leading role in the film, but is also Jack Rosenthal's widow. The stage premiere of The Knowledge is currently in previews at Charing Cross Theatre for an opening on 11 September and a run through 11 November 2017. Orchestra of St. Luke's Launches 2017-18 Season with 16 Fall Performances

Orchestra of St. Luke's returns to Carnegie Hall for three concerts in the fall including its annual subscription series presented by Carnegie Hall, opening on October 12 with Conductor Laureate Pablo Heras-Casado on the podium. He leads Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21, and Mozart's Mass in C Minor, K. 427 ('Great'), featuring the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and guest vocalists sopranos Camilla Tilling and Susanna Phillips, tenor Thomas Cooley, and bass-baritone Michael Sumuel.

Seven Artists Selected for the 10th Anniversary of American Lyric Theater's Composer Librettist Development Program

Lawrence Edelson, Founder and Producing Artistic Director of American Lyric Theater (ALT), announced today that three composers, three librettists, and one dramaturg have been selected as Resident Artists to participate in the tenth anniversary season of the company's nationally acclaimed Composer Librettist Development Program (CLDP). The artists selected for this prestigious residency and training program are composers Shuying Li, Andy Tierstein, and Liliya Ugay; librettists Lorene Cary, Julian Crouch, and Lila Palmer; and dramaturg Antigoni Gaitana.

Noted American conductor Jason Tramm makes his Italian 2017 Narnia Festival conducting debut with several scheduled performances -  including two new, fully staged productions of "Gianni Schicchi" and "Suor Angelica" from Puccini's celebrated and enigmatic ensemble of one act operas, "IL TRITICO." Directing the productions Tramm will be working with Maria Rosaria Omaggi,  the accomplished Italian actress and writer.
