Shakespeare in the Parking Lot Presents 'AS YOU LIKE IT'

The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Parking Lot (www.shakespeareintheparkinglot.com) has found a new home in the Parking Lot behind The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center (CSV), 114 Norfolk Street between Delancey and Rivington Streets.  The troupe will kick off the third decade of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot there July 9 to 26 with 'As You Like It,' directed by Artistic Director Hamilton Clancy.  The production will offer delightful lessons of love, starting off in a stately English Victorian world and moving into a Steampunk paradise when the scene shifts from a conventional Duchy to the mythical Forest of Arden.

Entertainment Exec Joins Cinemark Board

Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK), a leading motion picture exhibitor, announced today that Mark Zoradi has been elected to the Board of Cinemark Holdings, Inc., effective June 4, 2015. Mr. Zoradi was elected to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Mr. Peter Ezersky and shall serve the remainder of Mr. Ezersky's term as a member of the Class II directors.

NYC Parks, Fort Greene Park Conservancy & Urban Park Rangers Reopen Visitor Center, Museum

On Saturday NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP joined newly appointed Fort Greene Park Director David Barker, NYC Parks Urban Park Ranger Chris Wood, Fort Greene Park Users and Pets Society (PUPS), Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, volunteers and community members for a day of fun-filled activities celebrating the reopening of the Visitor Center and museum at Fort Greene Park.

Touchstone Theatre to Present 'Fresh Voices: Transformation,' 6/19-20

The Fresh Voices showcase returns to Touchstone Theatre on June 19 and 20, 2015. This annual showcase is a celebration of new theatre, featuring original works-in-progress by the 2014-15 Touchstone Apprentices, Remy Kayal and Anna Russell. The evening, centered around the theme Transformation, is composed of three original works in progress.

Cal Shakes Opens 41st Season with TWELFTH NIGHT Tonight

California Shakespeare Theater opens its 2015 season with Shakespeare's comic masterpiece, Twelfth Night, directed by Christopher Liam Moore. Twelfth Night plays at the Bruns Amphitheater from tonight, May 27 through June 21.

THE TREE IN THE MIRROR Mural Grows on the Touchstone Theatre in Bethlehem

A new cross-culturally inspired mural entitled 'The Tree in the Mirror' now adorns the northern wall of Touchstone Theatre, designed by international artists Deng Dafei and He Hai, directors of the Beijing-Hangzhou visual arts collective called the Utopia Group, and created in collaboration with local mural artist Jim Gloria, Co-Founder of the Totts Gap Arts Institute in Bangor, PA through the institute's Heritage Mural Education program.

Patty McCormack Joins Cast of MISERABLE WITH AN OCEAN VIEW at Whitefire Theatre

Patty McCormack, star of stage, screen and television, joins the cast of the world premiere of the new play "Miserable with an Ocean View" written and produced by Howard Skora, directed by Jim Fall, scheduled to open Saturday, June 6th, at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, California.

THE WAY WE GET BY, Starring Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski, Opens Tonight at Second Stage

Second Stage Theatre welcomes film star Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables, Dear John, Mamma Mia!, upcoming Ted 2 and Pan) in her off-Broadway debut opposite Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom, Wild, upcoming in NBC's The Slap) in the world premiere production of NEIL LaBUTE's drama, The Way We Get By. Directed by Tony nominee LEIGH SILVERMAN, the production began previews on April 28, 2015 and officially opens tonight, May 19, 2015 at Second Stage Theatre, 305 West 43rd Street.

AS YOU LIKE IT Runs 6/7-9/26 at Theatricum

Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum kicks off its 2015 'Americana' season with an all-American staging of William Shakespeare's As You Like It, re-set in the divided South of the post-Civil War era and featuring traditional American folk music and dance from that period. As You Like It opens on Sunday, June 7 at 3:30 p.m.

SHIFT Theatre's 1-ACT FESTIVAL 8 to Pack a Punch This June
