The Philly POPS announced its 2016/17 concert season today along with a host of new endeavors and updates.

The Houston Symphony's 2016-17 season, Andres Orozco-Estrada's third season as music director, celebrates more than a century of leadership in Houston's cultural landscape. In its 103rd year, the Houston Symphony announced the upcoming season at Jones Hall on Monday, January 25, in front of several hundred guests and supporters, emphasizing the institution's ongoing collaboration with living composers, a continued focus on new music, a renewed concentration on innovative programming, and world-class musicianship and entertainment. Houston Symphony Music Director Orozco-Estrada, Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski, and Executive Director/CEO Mark C. Hanson were on hand to unveil the new season and share their favorite highlights.

The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, is pleased to welcome Champian Fulton, The Brandon McCune Trio, The Chris Gillespie Trio, and Tony DeSare to Bemelmans Bar for Sunday night residencies throughout the winter 2016 season. OUR SINATRA: A MUSICAL CELEBRATION, the critically acclaimed musical saluting and honoring the music of Frank Sinatra, will mark its 15th Anniversary (2000-2015) and celebrate the Centennial (1915-2015) of one of our greatest American vocalists in a return engagement of the award-winning production.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts welcomes world-renowned performers, family programming and returning favorites as part of the 2016 winter/spring season.

Led by Principal POPS Conductor Designate Steven Reineke, the program will include two of his own arrangements and reflect the style of music that 'Ol' Blue Eyes' popularized in the 1940s and 50s.
