Ghostlight Records has released the original cast recording of the world premiere musical FIRST DAUGHTER SUITE - written by Michael John LaChiusa and directed by Kirsten Sanderson - online and in stores today, Friday, April 1. The album was released in digital formats on Friday, February 26.

Legendary scenic and costume designer, MICHAEL YEARGAN (currently represented on Broadway with Fiddler on the Roof and The King and I), and costume designer SUSAN TSU are among the 2016 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). Ms. Tsu was selected to receive the 2016 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Yeargan will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through Theatre Development Fund's Costume Collection.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 31st Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

Director Timothy Douglas (Arena's King Hedley II) tackles this emotionally-charged play by Akhtar, author of the novel 'American Dervish' and currently the most produced playwright in the United States. The Public Theater has announcedd a one-week extension today for the New York premiere of HEAD OF PASSES, part of Oskar Eustis' 10th anniversary season. Written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Tina Landau, HEAD OF PASSES officially opens tonight, Monday, March 28 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, April 17. It will now run an additional week through Sunday, April 24.
