The Invisible Dog will present MINOR CHARACTER, (June 17-25) by Brooklyn based theater company New Saloon. In this kaleidoscopic adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, a cast of 16 performers collage a century's worth of English translations - from the flowery 1916 version to Google Translate's profoundly nonsensical rendition - into one sprawling, intimate, quietly disastrous evening that culminates with an entirely new adaptation.

The sister program to the company's FRESH ART festival the weekend before, The CANNED Art weekend showcases work Fordham Alumni have finished creating, saved for prosperity in the can. A variety of feature length and short films, documentaries, as well as web-series and sketches will be shown. All screenings will be presented at the Wild Project (195 E. 3rd St., NYC). Admission is $5 per film. In addition, audience members can purchase a $12 “RamPass” to see 3 or more films. To purchase tickets in advance visit www.thewildproject.com. Performances will run from September 19th -October 5th, 2008 in a limited engagement at The Workshop Theater Company (Main Stage Theater), located at 312 West 36th Street (4th Floor) between 8th & 9th Avenues in NYC.
