ARCHIMEDES' PRINCIPLE Makes UK Premiere at Park Theatre Tonight

Winner of the 36th Premi Born de Teatre and the Barcelona Theatre Institute's Staging Projects Award (2011), El Principi d'Arquimedes by Catalan playwright Josep Maria Miro i Coromina comes to the Park Theatre for the UK premiere of the English translation by Dustin Langan, Archimedes' Principle. The production opens tonight, 17 April, and runs until 11 May in Park90.

TV: OLIVIER AWARDS 2014 - Best Actor Nominee Tom Hiddleston

Best Actor Nominee Tom Hiddleston spoke to the cameras before the 2014 Olivier Awards. Best known, perhaps, for his movie roles, he was nominated for his performance in the titular role in the Donmar's Corialanus.

National Theatre Live to Broadcast MEDEA, Starring Helen McCrory, Sept 4

NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE has announced an international broadcast of the National Theatre of Great Britain's production of Euripides' Greek tragedy MEDEA, in a new version by Ben Power, directed by Carrie Cracknell and starring Helen McCrory in the title role. The production will be broadcast live from the National's Olivier Theatre on Thursday September 4 2014, with varying dates internationally and encore screenings to follow.

The Olivier Awards with MasterCard – the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar – has revealed further details of the 2014 awards ceremony to be held on Sunday 13 April at the Royal Opera House and broadcast from 22:15 that evening on ITV in a full highlights package.

Old Vic Announces 2014-15 Season; Kevin Spacey to Return to the Stage in CLARENCE DARROW

The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. The plays will be performed in the round, a transformation of The Old Vic's auditorium first seen for the award-winning 2008 production of The Norman Conquests. The season of productions is supported for the fourth consecutive year by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
