The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced the nominations for the 2014 EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) and Gravity leads with 11 nominations, while 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle each received 10 nominations.

Now their prolific output will be celebrated in the cabaret event A Spoonful of Sherman at St James Theatre on January 6 and 13. Robert's son Robbie, himself a writer of musicals, will be performing alongside several top West End singers, including Charlotte Wakefield (The Sound of Music, Regent's Park) Emma Williams (the original West End Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Stuart Matthew Price (Parade, Donmar Warehouse). Songs featured will actually span 90 incredible years of Sherman family history by including music from the Sherman Brothers' father, Tin Pan Alley songwriter Al Sherman.

A play based on J.K. Rowling's worldwide phenomenon HARRY POTTER will soon be apparating into the West End, produced by the author herself.

San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English and Producing Director Susi Damilano) launches the New Year with the West Coast's first production of Jerusalem, Jez Butterworth's epic Tony and Olivier award-winning play. Bill English directs and Brian Dykstra* stars in the role of Johnny 'Rooster' Byron. The production also features Julia Belanoff, Joe Estlack, Richard James*, Riley Krull, Maggie Mason, Ian Scott McGregor*, Aaron Murphy, Paris Hunter Paul*, Chris Reber*, Joshua Schell, Devon Simpson, and Courtney Walsh.

The nominations for the 34th London Critics' Circle Film Awards were announced today, with British director Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave topping members' ballots with 9 nominations.

'12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" top this year's nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards with 13 nominations each.

'Loukoumi And The Schoolyard Bully' has won the Mom's Choice Award for Excellence. Oscar Winners Morgan Freeman, Olympia Dukakis and Oscar Nominee Nia Vardalos lead an all-star cast in the audio narration of the new book, Loukoumi And The Schoolyard Bully by Nick Katsoris. The book not only spreads the message of kindness and tolerance to children this holiday season but also gives back with proceeds from the book benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
