Yesterday, September 14, Tony Award winner Richard Easton, Tony nominee Andre De Shields, Tony nominee Dana Ivey, Tony nominee Laurence Luckinbill, Marni Nixon and more joined special guests New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Katherine Oliver, Commissioner for the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, for the second-annual Broadway Salutes, a unique public celebration honoring the myriad of professionals who have made Broadway great for decades - with special recognition for those individuals who have worked 25, 35 and 50 years in their respective theatrical craft. Matt Doyle, Tituss Burgess, Tom Lenk and many others are slated to appear in a Break the Cycle benefit titled 'Louder Than Words' on Saturday, September 11 at The Music Box Theatre in Hollywood.

Jim Caruso is thrilled to welcome YouTube sensation MIRANDA SINGS back to the Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, October 4 at 7pm. The evening will be a celebration of all things Halloween, with dazzling costumes and a Miranda lookalike contest with prizes.

Following five sold out weeks of shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre will continue their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED for one performance only, Friday, August 27th at 7pm. Joining the cast is special guest, Len Cariou, who originated the roles of Fredrik in A Little Night Music and Sweeney in Sweeney Todd. Also joining the cast are Telly Leung (Rent, Pacific Overtures), Nikki Scalera (Hairspray), Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie), Julia Murney (Wicked), Anne Runolfsson (The Phantom of the Opera, Victor/Victoria) and Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid, Guys & Dolls).

This August, from the 18th through the 21st, the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) hosted its Summer Performing Arts Intensive in Philadelphia! During the intensive, attendees received first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal performance daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by savvy Broadway veterans who shared their invaluable insider knowledge on the skills needed to make it in show business.

PS Classics will release the new CD 'Love on a Summer Afternoon,' a compilation of songs by Sam Davis. The CD will feature Michael Arden (Big River), Tituss Burgess (Guys and Dolls), Danny Burstein (South Pacific), Kevin Chamberlin (The Addams Family), Will Chase (High Fidelity), Jason Danieley (Next to Normal), Malcolm Gets (The Story of My Life), Edward Hibbert (Curtains), David Hyde Pierce (Curtains), Christopher Sieber (Shrek) and Bobby Steggert (110 in the Shade) and will be released on October 19.

Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org), a public service organization for artists, installed 60 pianos in the parks and public spaces of the city's five boroughs to be available to all who pass by from June 21 to July 5. These 'street pianos' are part of Play Me, I'm Yours, a worldwide public art project.
