Yesterday March 26th, Tim Federle, author of Better Nate Than Ever, interviewed the 19 year old author,Henry Hodges, who wrote 'How To Act Like a Kid,' at the Drama Book Shop. The interview was followed by a Q&A with the audience followed by a book signing. Just yesterday, Kids' Night on Broadway kicks off at the immersive and educational Discovery Times Square; where there were unique theatre activities including: Autograph Alley with Broadway performers, a dance workshop with Revolucion Latina, Broadway Karaoke, stage makeup demonstrations, craft activities and much more including a free theatre activity guide. The Broadway Green Alliance also collected plastic bottle caps (plastic and metal) to incorporate in to the set for the new production of Peter and the Starcatcher Off-Broadway.

Better Nate Than Ever, the acclaimed debut novel by Tim Federle that was just named an Amazon Best Book of the Month, was released yesterday, February 5 from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. The hardcover novel (and e-book edition) is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and wherever books are sold.

The Drama Book Shop (250 W. 40th Street, NYC) will host a Q&A and book signing with Tim Federle, author of the Broadway coming-of-age novel Better Nate Than Ever, on February 5th at 5:30 PM. The Q&A will be moderated by Thomas Schumacher, President of Disney Theatrical Productions. Already earning rave reviews from critics and celebrities alike, Better Nate Than Ever, Federle's debut novel, is being released the same day by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. The book recently launched at the Junior Theater Festival, for an enthusiastic audience of over 4000 theater-loving kids.

Oscar and Tony Award-winning composer Alan Menken, director Jeff Calhoun and producer Thomas Schumacher will join Kara Lindsay, Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Mike Faist, stars of the Tony award-winning Broadway musical, Newsies, for a special presentation to 4,000 students and teachers representing 82 groups from 23 states at the 2013 Junior Theater Festival, it was announced today by Theater of the Stars President Nick Manos and Timothy Allen McDonald, founding Chairman of iTheatrics. The Junior Theater Festival is being held January 18, 19 and 20 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta.

Better Nate Than Ever, the debut novel by Broadway dancer Tim Federle, will be released February 5, 2013 from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, it was announced today. Better Nate Than Ever has already been praised by Tony and Oscar-winning composer of Newsies and Beauty and the Beast Alan Menken as "A smash hit! If there was a Tony Award for books, it would go to Better Nate Than Ever." The book will launch at the MTI Junior Theater Festival in January, for an audience of over 4500 theater-loving kids.

In celebration of Westport Country Playhouse 80th season, an audience of over 500 attended the historic theater's annual fundraising gala, 'The Magical Music of Stephen Schwartz,' honoring the musical theater composer, on Monday evening, September 13. Gala proceeds will support artistic and education programs of the Playhouse - with a special focus this year on the Woodward Internship program.

A sold-out audience of over 550 people attended the annual benefit, 'Footlights and Film: A Celebration of the Great Musicals from Stage and Screen,' hosted by Julia Roberts and featuring a special tribute to Angela Lansbury presented by Bernadette Peters, at Westport Country Playhouse, Westport, CT (Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe, artistic directors, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, managing director) on Monday evening, September 15. The fundraiser grossed $1,407,610, including revenue from tickets, donations and silent auctions.
