Sound Bites 10-Minute Musical Theatre Festival Finalists Announced

Theatre Now New York proudly announces the ten musical finalists that will be featured in the Third Annual Sound Bites 10-Minute Musical Theatre Festival. This year's benefit festival will be performing on January 18, 2016 (Martin Luther King Holiday), at 7:00 pm at the 47th Street Theatre, 304 West 47th Street, in Manhattan. Theatre Now New York's RAW Reading Series to Continue with SPEAK OF THE DEVIL, 2/8

RAW Readings presented by Theatre Now New York are FREE. New York, New York - Theatre Now New York, in association with Sari Weisman, will open its Raw Reading Series with a FREE reading of SPEAK OF THE DEVIL by Richard F. Stockton, revised by Marsha Lee Sheiness, and directed by Robert Kalfin, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00PM at 520 8th Avenue, 3rd floor, in Manhattan. A wine and cheese reception with the artists will follow.

SOUND BITES Festival Now Accepting Submissions Through 9/1

After their inaugural year, SOUND BITES, a ten minute musical theatre festival presented by Theatre Now New York, is now accepting submissions through Monday, September 1, 2014. SOUND BITES II, the Second Annual Festival of 10 Minute Musicals, will be on Monday, December 8, 2014. The second annual festival is expected to be held at The 47th Street Theatre, the location of SOUND BITES 2013. SOUND BITES is the first-ever ten minute musical theatre festival that accepts both ten minute musicals and ten minute excerpts of larger musicals. Any ten minute piece that can be performed and includes music qualifies.

Latin Hip Hop Rock Musical KINGDOM Comes To ReVision Theater 4/16-5/3

ReVision Theatre will present the East Coast Premiere of the new Latin Hip Hop rock musical Kingdom, to play the VFW Theatre, 701 Lake Avenue, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, April 16-May 3. Carlos Armesto will direct, with music direction by Michael Thomas Murray and choreography by Tiffany Rachelle Stewart.

ReVision Theater Exposes Gang Violence Through Hip Hop Rock

ReVision Theatre is hitting the streets with a new show that exposes the impact of gang violence on the local community. The East Coast Premiere of Kingdom, a new Hip Hop Rock musical about the gang, the Latin Kings, will open in April, but the theatre company is already working hard to educate Asbury Park and surrounding communities about the growing number of gang members in Monmouth County. Events include a Kingdom Kick Off Party on March 7th, a Kingdom Exploration Symposium on March 19th, a Ticket Fund Campaign, and a cutting-edge interactive forum after every performance.

As a reaction to the state of the economy, ReVision Theatre announces their Winter Subscription Sale. New and current ReVision Theatre Members may purchase all three tickets to three great shows for only $92.50, which is 50% off the regular price.
