The producers of "12-12-12"announced today that Eric Clapton and Chris Martin will be joining the esteemed lineup of artists on December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden.

Ken Davenport of Davenport Theatrical Enterprises presents a reading of the new play Schooled, written by Lisa Lewis and directed by Jules Ochoa, as part of the Davenport Developmental Reading Series. Schooled stars Tony nominee Peter Friedman (Playwrights Horizon's Circle Mirror Transformation), Sarah Steele (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's Slowgirl), Harry Zittel (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's All-American) and Zoe Winters (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's 4000 Miles). The reading will take place tonight, December 3rd at 8pm at The Davenport Studios, located at 250 West 49th Street, Suite 304, in New York City.

The special one night only live music event will help provide assistance to the millions of people throughout the tri-state area who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. "12-12-12" (A Concert For Sandy Relief) will occur on December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden in New York. More details on the event and the artist line-up will be released in the coming days. All money raised will be administered directly to those who need it most, through the Robin Hood Relief Fund.

The Weinstein Company (TWC) announced today they have acquired rights for the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Italy from Hanway Films KON-TIKI. The film, which tells the real-life adventure of Thor Heyerdahl's world-famous seafaring voyage, is the official Oscar® entry of Norway for Best Foreign Language Film. KON-TIKI is directed by Joachim Roenning and Espen Sandberg, with a script by Petter Skavlan. The film had its US premiere this week at AFI Fest.

The Madonna Dance party keeps getting bigger. Following immediate one day sellouts in many of the major markets of Madonna's tour, Live Nation Entertainment has announced that the world tour will now stop in Detroit at Joe Louis Arena tonight, November 8 at 8 p.m.

ESCAPE FROM PLANET EARTH is coming to theaters on February 14 from The Weinstein Company. The animated scifi adventure is directed by Callan Brunker and features the voices of Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brendan Fraser, James Gandolfini, Kaitlin Olson and Rob Corddry. AKA and Bow Street Films announced today that they will merge into a new production outfit that will be named AKA/Bow Street Films (AKA/BSF). The new entity will allow filmmakers at the company to make high quality films for under $3 million. The slate at AKA/Bow Street Films will consist of two primary tranches of films, all with budgets between $500k and $3 million: genre films such as suspense, thriller, horror and contained action and, second, dramatic features of upcoming directors with strong casts that are made for a sensible price.
