Hartford Stage Announces Full Cast, Creative Team for TWELFTH NIGHT

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the full creative team, cast and events for Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, directed by Tresnjak, on stage from May 18 through June 16.

Stratford Festival's Des McAnuff Invested into Order of Canada

Des McAnuff was invested into the Order of Canada at a ceremony presided over by the Governor General in Ottawa this morning. The Stratford Festival extends heartiest congratulations to Mr. McAnuff, who was Artistic Director from 2008 through 2012, and is currently directing Tommy, a musical based on the album by The Who, which he helped composer-lyricist Pete Townshend create.

WaterTower Theatre today announced the cast for The Grapes of Wrath, running April 5 - 28, 2013 at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast includes Cameron Cobb as Tom Joad; Steven Pounders as Jim Casy; Arvin Combs as Pa Joad; Stephanie Dunnam as Ma Joad; Carolyn Wickwire as Granma Joad; Dennis West as Grampa Joad; Jason Johnson-Spinos as Noah Joad; Hannah Plemons as Ruthie; Miles Shickman/Liam M. Taylor as Winfield; Stan Graner as Uncle John; Mikaela Krantz as Rose of Sharon; Austin Tindle as Connie Rivers and Conner Wedgeworth as Al Joad.

Comedy Rules Northern Stage's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Now thru 2/24

Few plays have stood the test of time in the way that The Importance of Being Earnest has. Written in 1895, this 'Serious Comedy for Trivial People,' as playwright Oscar Wilde termed it, offers situations and comedy that remain timeless and fresh. The characters are memorable, from the careless and self-centered Jack to the innocent and impressionable Cecily. Wilde skewers Victorian society in a manner that leaves audiences laughing from start to finish.

hotINK at the Lark 2013 Set for 4/17-22

hotINK at the Lark will present seven play readings, written by playwrights who hail from outside of the United States. Each play will be presented once, following an eight to ten hour workshop with a director and actors from the New York theater community. In addition, special events are planned for visiting playwrights and translators.
