British actor and filmmaker Alan Rickman has passed away at the age of 69.

SANCHO: AN ACT OF REMEMBRANCE, conceived, written, and performed by Paterson Joseph and co-directed by Simon Godwin, will make its New York premiere at BAM Fisher this December.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced complete casting for the first production of its 30th anniversary season, the New York revival of multiple Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill's landmark play Cloud Nine, directed by Obie Award winner James Macdonald.

Direct from two completely sold-out engagements in London, producers Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater will bring the Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE to Broadway this fall.  The production, which swept the 2015 Olivier Awards — winning for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor (Mark Strong) —will begin previews Wednesday evening, October 21 and open on Thursday, November 12 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45 Street.  A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE will play an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 21, 2016.

An exhibition of new photographs by Simon Annand of some of Britain's leading playwrights will open at the Royal Exchange in Manchester this April, to mark the 10th anniversary of The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.

Ewan Stewart (Titanic) and Gershwyn Eustache Jnr (Home, nut) will complete the cast of The Royale, joining the previously announced Frances Ashman, Clint Dyer and Nicholas Pinnock.

Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy, Fortitude) will star as Jay Jackson, the first black heavyweight champion of the world, in The Royale, written by Marco Ramirez (Orange is the New Black), directed by Madani Younis (artistic director of the Bush Theatre), and loosely based on the true story of the boxer Jack Johnson.

Performances begin today, Tuesday, December 16, for the American premiere of Constellations, the acclaimed new play by Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst, starring Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Golden Globe nominee for Nightcrawler; Brokeback Mountain) and two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson (Golden Globe nominee for Showtime's “The Affair;” BBC's and PBS' Emmy nominated “Luther”).
