The West Coast Premiere of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, a new work by one of America's great comic playwrights, familiar to millions for Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You, is directed by Josh Rhodes, who previously choreographed the Globe's productions of Bright Star and Working, as well as Broadway's It Shoulda Been You, First Date, and Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, at The Old Globe. Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theater and Door County's theatrical icon, continues its 80th season tonight, July 29, through August 16 when it presents Ken Ludwig's hilarious comedy, 'Lend Me A Tenor.'

Berkshire Theatre Group's production of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune directed by Karen Allen. Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune runs from tonight, July 29 to Saturday, August 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present George Bernard Shaw's comedy Misalliance, directed by Artistic Associate/Casting Director Stephen Brown-Fried. Performances begin Wednesday, August 5th and continue through Sunday, August 30th at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. The Comedy of Errors continues The Old Globe's 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival as part of the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities during the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. With three shows on Broadway this year, Tony and Emmy Award nominee Scott Ellis makes his Globe debut directing one of William Shakespeare's most delightful confections. The Old Globe engagement will begin performances on August 16 and run through September 20, 2015, with opening night on Saturday, August 22 at 8:00 p.m., in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. The Michael Grandage Company today announces the full company for the UK premiere of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51. Nicole Kidman who leads the company as Rosalind Franklin is joined by Will Attenborough (James Watson), Edward Bennett (Francis Crick), Stephen Campbell Moore (Maurice Wilkins), Patrick Kennedy (Don Caspar) and Joshua Silver (Ray Gosling). Photograph 51 opens at the Noel Coward Theatre on 14 September, with previews from 5 September, and runs until 21 November.

In celebration of his 100th birthday this year, The Old Globe will honor Founding Director Craig Noel and his many contributions to the world of theatre and the culture life of San Diego with Craig100, a special evening of memories and performances, on Monday, August 17 at 7:00 p.m.

The original 1968 production of Dames at Sea launched the career of the young ingenue playing Ruby, Bernadette Peters.

The Old Globe has announced an extra-special appearance-an hour-long interview/conversation with one of America's great comic playwrights, Ken Ludwig, familiar to millions for Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You-on Sunday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m. prior to the 7:00 p.m. preview of his new and very popular play, Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.

The Public Theater will kick off the 2015-16 season in September with a free Public Works musical adaptation of Homer's THE ODYSSEY, conceived and directed by Public Works Director Lear deBessonet, with music, lyrics and book by Todd Almond. THE ODYSSEY will once again feature over 200 actors and community members alongside five equity actors, including this year Brandon Victor Dixon as Odysseus, Karen Olivo as Penelope and Taran Killam as Cyclops.

The Muny presents Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, beginning tonight, July 13, and running through July 20 at Forest Park. Written by Alan Janes, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, choreographed by Josh Walden and music directed by Michael Horsley.

The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter, will now add a week by popular demand and run through August 9 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets for the extension will go on sale this Sunday, July 12 at noon.
