FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training kicks off the inaugural season of Dog Days Theatre, a new theater project offering smart, contemporary works just light enough for the dog days of summer, with Tony Award and Laurence Olivier Award-winning British playwright Alan Ayckbourn's bright and brassy comedy RELATIVELY SPEAKING.

The Old Globe today announced the full cast for Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway.

Theatre for a New Audience presents Simon Godwin's (Associate Director, London's National Theatre) Measure for Measure, William Shakespeare's dark comedy about justice, faith, power, sex and family. Measure for Measure is the first time Godwin is directing Shakespeare with an American company. The production runs this weekend, June 17, through July 16 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place) in the Brooklyn Cultural District.

Crowded Fire Theater (CFT) In his inaugural commission as Crowded Fire's Playwright-in-Residence, Christopher Chen tackles the power structures inherent in large corporations. Set in a parallel world, A TALE OF AUTUMN is a psychological rise-to-power fable.

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, will present WORLD VIEWS, a collection of new mini-musicals in concert, the culmination of Prospect's 2017 Musical Theater Lab. WORLD VIEWS, the company's 11th lab performance, will be presented on July 8, 2017 at 8pm at The TimesCenter.

Bradley King has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical for NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. His collaborations with Rachel Chavkin include Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 (Broadway), Hadestown (NYTW), Preludes (LCT3), The Fairy Tale Lives of Russian Girls (Yale Rep), and the upcoming The Royal Family (The Guthrie).

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of At the Old Place, by Rachel Bonds, directed by Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Jaime Castañeda, running in the Mandell Weiss Forum July 5 - 31.

The historic Cape Playhouse's 91st season kicks off with Yasmine Reza's Art, the critically acclaimed comedy, in its Playhouse premiere.  Starring David Beach, Eddie Korbich and Andrew Macdonald, and directed by Matt Lenz, Art plays June 13 through 24.

Cygnet Theatre will launch its 15th season with the musical comedy Animal Crackers, the hallmark of the Marx Brothers lunacy, based on the 1928 Broadway hit with book by Broadway masters George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind.  The success of the play was followed by the film version (1930), which launched the brothers into film stardom, never again appearing on Broadway. The Marx Brothers are commonly thought to be among the greatest and most influential comedians of the 20th century.

The Tony Award-nominated comedy, 'Lettice and Lovage,' opens Westport Country Playhouse's 87th Season, written by Peter Shaffer, author of 'Amadeus,' and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. The play runs now through June 17. The cast includes Kandis Chappell, Mia Dillon, Sarah Manton, and Paxton Whitehead. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Rosalind Productions Inc. have announced the New Voices/New Works summer reading series. The New Voices/New Works program was launched earlier this year and actively scouts and incubates new voices.

Two-time Tony nominee Brandon Uranowitz's life in the theatre had humble origins... in the basement of his childhood home. The Falsettos star is one of four actors in his cast (along with Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells and Stephanie J. Block) to earn a nod this season and he couldn't be happier for the recognition.
